About us

I built this because I wanted it to exist. I wanted a map that actually knew the mountain. How to get from my hotel to lunch and back, which lifts take me there, and what the conditions are like at the top of the mountain or down in the valley. I wanted to see where my friends are and where to meet, to know what hotels would get me to the lifts fastest, and the most convenient ski rental nearby.

Credits

Pistes, lifts and ski areas come from OpenStreetMap contributors, via OpenSkiMap, two open projects this app couldn’t exist without. Avalanche bulletins come from the warning services that publish through EAWS. Weather is from OpenWeatherMap, webcams from Windy, and the base map from Mapbox.
